Applications are open for the UNESCO Social and Human Sciences Internship 2026 . UNESCO has recently announced a Social and Human Sciences internship position for its headquarters in Paris, field offices, and institutes, and invites applications from dynamic students and recent graduates worldwide. It’s a full‑time internship program with a minimum duration of 1 month and a maximum of 6 months , during which applicants will work in UNESCO’s Social and Human Sciences Sector (SHS) and gain hands‑on experience in global policymaking, research, and international project management.
Students enrolled in the third or final year of an undergraduate degree, a master’s or PhD program , or those who have recently graduated with a degree in social sciences, humanities, and related fields from recognized institutions are invited to apply.

Internship Requirements
You must fulfill the following criteria to be eligible for the internship:
- It’s a global position, accepting applications from all nationals
- Indivuals from non- and underrepresented member states are highly encouraged to apply
- Applicants must be at least 20 years of age
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD degree program
- Bachelor’s students must be in the 3rd or final year of their degree program
- Completed the above degree within the last 12 months
- Pursuing their degree or graduated in Social sciences, public policy, international relations, law, human rights, sociology, communication studies, AI, Technology, or related interdisciplinary areas
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Intern Roles
Interns will assist with the following roles
- Conduct policy research
- Create draft reports and briefs
