Treasury & Collateral Expert Officer
Role Summary
LCH SA is seeking a Senior Product Owner to join its Treasury & Collateral function in Paris. This is a senior-level role requiring over 10 years of experience within post‑trade, clearing, treasury or collateral environments, with a strong and proven expertise in Central Counterparty (CCP) operating models. The Senior Product Owner will be accountable for driving the functional ownership, evolution and delivery of critical Treasury & Collateral systems, operating at the crossroads of Business lines, Operations, IT, Risk, Finance and external market participants, in a highly regulated and systemically important environment.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategic Change
- Act as Senior Product Owner for Treasury & Collateral systems, defining product vision, functional roadmap and priorities in line with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Own and translate business needs into clear, robust and scalable functional requirements, ensuring alignment with CCP constraints and operational resilience.
- Lead complex change initiatives impacting:
- Margin and collateral management (cash and securities).
- Treasury cash flows, liquidity management and investments.
- Payments, settlement and reconciliation chains.
Subject‑Matter Expertise (SME) of Treasury & Collateral processes
- Provide deep functional expertise on CCP Treasury & Collateral end‑to‑end processes, including margin lifecycle, collateral eligibility, liquidity management and settlement risk.
- Act as a trusted expert and reference point for Business lines, Operations, IT, Risk, Finance and senior stakeholders.
- Proactively identify process and system improvements to strengthen operational efficiency, control frameworks and risk mitigation.
Delivery Governance & Testing
- Own User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities: define and maintain test strategies, scenarios and acceptance criteria, coordinate UAT execution with internal users and external stakeholders, formally validate results and approve production releases.
- Closely monitor system releases across test and production environments, ensuring secure and controlled deployments.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with Business lines, Operations teams, IT delivery and shared services, Risk Management, Finance and CaLM teams, External stakeholders including clearing members, central banks, CSDs and settlement banks.
- Ensure clear, structured and effective communication with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Skills & Experience Required
- 10+ years’ professional experience in Treasury, Collateral Management, Clearing Operations, Product Ownership or related roles within a CCP, FMI, investment bank or major financial institution.
- Strong and demonstrable understanding of CCP business models, including regulatory, risk and operational dimensions.
- Proven experience leading functional change or product ownership for mission‑critical systems.
- Solid knowledge of payments and securities settlement infrastructures (e.g. SWIFT, T2, T2S).
- Degree level education (Master’s or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar.
- Fluency in English & French, both written and spoken.
- Strong IT literacy, with a good understanding of new technologies including Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and Cloud‑based solutions.
