Treasury Analyst

The Treasury Analyst supports treasury operations, cash flow monitoring, liquidity planning, and financial reporting activities within the treasury function. The role contributes to daily treasury execution, bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, and treasury data analysis while ensuring compliance with Group treasury policies and internal controls.
Reporting to: Middle Office Manager
- Treasury Operations Support Support daily treasury operations, including payments, cash positioning, bank reconciliations, transaction monitoring, and operational follow-up. Ensure treasury transactions are processed accurately and within required timelines. Monitor bank account balances and investigate discrepancies, missing transactions, or operational issues. Support the management of intercompany funding, treasury documentation, and operational treasury records. Escalate payment issues, liquidity concerns, bank discrepancies, or process exceptions when needed.
- Cash Forecasting and Liquidity Analysis Prepare and update short-term cash flow forecasts based on operational inputs, historical trends, and expected cash movements. Analyze variances between forecasted and actual cash movements and support the identification of root causes. Support liquidity monitoring, working capital analysis, cash utilization reviews, and short-term funding visibility. Assist in identifying opportunities for cash optimization, reduced idle cash, and process efficiency. Provide forecast updates and cash analysis to treasury managers or finance stakeholders as required.
- Treasury Reporting and Data Management Prepare treasury reports, dashboards, operational KPIs, cash summaries, bank account updates, and liquidity analysis. Maintain treasury data, banking records, transaction files, intercompany funding documentation, and supporting evidence. Support data consolidation and reporting activities for Group Treasury, local Finance, or management review. Assist in preparing materials for audits, compliance reporting, management presentations, and treasury governance discussions. Ensure that treasury reporting data is accurate, consistent, traceable, and delivered on time.
- Compliance and Risk Monitoring Ensure treasury activities comply with internal controls, treasury policies, banking procedures, Golden Rules, and relevant regulatory requirements. Support Know Your Customer, anti-money laundering, bank documentation, mandate management, and banking compliance processes. Monitor treasury operational risks, including payment errors, fraud indicators, access issues, documentation gaps, and bank account anomalies. Assist with audit requests, internal control reviews, and treasury compliance checks. Escalate control gaps or risk indicators to the Treasury Manager or Group Treasury stakeholders.
- Systems and Process Support Support Treasury Management Systems, ERP tools, banking platforms, payment systems, and reporting tools used in treasury activities. Participate in system testing, updates, data validation, user acceptance testing, and process improvement initiatives. Contribute to treasury process documentation, operational guidelines, checklists, and user instructions. Help improve automation, reporting efficiency, data quality, and workflow reliability within treasury activities. Support continuous improvement of treasury operations through accurate execution, documentation, and feedback.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Work Experience: 2–4 years of experience in treasury, finance, accounting, banking, or cash management activities. Experience in multinational environments is an advantage.
- Skills & Certifications: Basic understanding of treasury operations, liquidity management, and banking processes. Experience with ERP systems, Treasury Management Systems, or banking platforms is a plus. Strong Excel and data analysis skills. Attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving capabilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Languages: For global, regional, or area roles, fluency in English is required. Additional languages such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, or other relevant languages are an advantage.
- Collaboration across different countries, functions, and time zones. Travel may be required depending on business needs. For local roles: Hybrid working environment depending on local policies. Collaboration with local business teams and relevant regional or global stakeholders. Occasional travel may be required depending on business needs.
