Training & Competency Coordinator – Energy / Industrial Project

Duration: Long-term assignment

Initial phase: Approx. 6 months in Paris, followed by project activities in the UK

Contract: Freelance / Contract

We are looking for an experienced Training & Competency Coordinator to support a major industrial energy project through its project preparation and subsequent UK phase.

The position will focus on the c oordination, development and implementation of training and competency activities, ensuring that personnel are adequately prepared and competent to perform their assigned roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the project’s Training & Competency activities .
• Support the development and implementation of training and competency programmes .
• Identify and consolidate training and competency requirements for project personnel.
• Coordinate training needs and competency requirements with the relevant project and operational stakeholders.
• Support the development and maintenance of competency frameworks, matrices and training plans .
• Monitor training completion and competency status.
• Coordinate competency assessments and follow-up actions where required.
• Ensure appropriate training and competency records are maintained.
• Support knowledge transfer and workforce readiness activities.
• Liaise with technical disciplines, operations, HSE and project teams regarding training requirements.
• Support the transition between the initial project phase in Paris and subsequent activities in the UK .

Candidate Profile

• Significant experience in Training, Competency Management or Learning & Development within a technical/industrial environment.
• Strong experience with competency assurance, competency frameworks, training matrices and/or workforce development .
• Previous experience within Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, LNG, Refining or major industrial projects is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of technical and operational environments.
• Experience interfacing with multidisciplinary project and/or operations teams.
• Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfortable working in an international project environment.

Assignment

The assignment is expected to begin with an approximately 6-month phase in Paris, before continuing in the United Kingdom for the subsequent project phase.

Candidates should therefore be willing and able to work in both France and the UK.
