Department & Position

The Global Transaction Banking (GTB) division is a cross-sector product team providing our CIB clients based in France, Benelux & Ireland with Trade and Working Capital Solutions. The portfolio of products is diverse and includes Letter of Credits, Guarantees, Receivables Financing, Reverse-Factoring, Inventory Finance and Structured Trade solutions. The GTB team in Paris holds a leading European position in the markets it covers, providing financial services to listed companies and institutions in France & Benelux.

Position: Trade and Working Capital Apprentice - Front Office Department: Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Duration: 12 months (and 12-month renewal option) Start date: September 2026 Location: 9 Place Vendôme - 75001 - Paris, France

Missions:

  • Take part in the deal origination process - preparation of commercial pitches, answer to requests for proposals, drafting of internal term sheets
  • Support the team in the deal execution, pricing calculation, presentation to internal committees and monitoring of the existing transactions
  • Conduct in-depth research focusing on various industries, sectors, countries, economic and geopolitical trends
  • Perform peer analysis for clients and prospects in a wide range of fields
  • Follow-up of existing transactions and approvals
  • Perform data analysis and reporting for the management
  • Provide assistance in ad-hoc reporting task

Profile:

  • Student from a top-tier Business/Engineering School or University
  • Strong interest for Trade & Working Capital solutions and banking industry
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work in a truly international environment in various languages (fluent in French and English, Spanish is a plus)
  • Capability to work in team with proactiveness, persistency and organization and to handle different topics
  • Analytical skills and attention to details
