Tooling Specialist / Spécialiste Outillage (m/f)

Position: Tooling Specialist (f/m)

Airbus Commercial Aircraft – Tooling Team, St‑Eloi site, Toulouse, France. Employment type: Permanent.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs and develop tool specifications from process analysis to final delivery.
• Lead cost estimation, planning, and capacity analysis for tooling projects.
• Provide high‑level oversight, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling Quality, Production, Procurement and external tooling partners.
• Manage project milestones, validate major progress steps, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Negotiate technical and commercial offers, ensuring the industrial need is maintained.
• Maintain real‑time updates in the SAP integrated business management tool and track potential risks.
• Ensure technical and documentary compliance of manufactured tooling and support post‑delivery customer satisfaction.
• Support CAPEX and OPEX strategies, including data analysis, audit support, and expenditure coordination.
• Travel occasionally within France or abroad for tool validation or installation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace tooling and project management.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5, SAP, and MS Office.
• Expertise in functional dimensioning, tolerancing, ergonomics and safety standards.
• Strong project management skills; experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Intermediate English proficiency for reading technical documents and communicating with partners.
• Proactive, service‑oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
