Thermal Simulation Engineer for Display Systems M/F

As a leader in driver‑assist systems, its Brain Division in Créteil, France develops advanced driving‑assist and connectivity solutions. The Thermal Department of Smart Cockpit is looking for a Thermal Simulation Engineer (M/F) to design and validate thermal solutions for high‑power‑density mechatronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop thermal solutions for complex mechatronic systems containing high‑power‑density components.
• Optimize product thermal management by considering optical, mechanical, and electronic aspects using FEA and CFD.
• Conduct thermal tests to validate product robustness and compliance with customer requirements.
• Perform and support design calculations, simulations, coding, and acceptance testing.
• Develop automated scripts to enable rapid thermal analysis of multiphysics simulations.
• Prepare test plans and reports, and present simulation results to the project team and management.
• Plan, monitor, and control thermal activities in accordance with relevant design standards.
• Ensure internal requirements, customer requirements, and supplier specifications are reviewed.
• Identify resource, equipment, and investment needs when requesting quotes.
• Develop a detailed action plan to achieve objectives.
• Support the monitoring of intellectual property and propose innovative, patentable concepts.
• Provide support to the design team through presentations and participation in FMEA analyses, safety studies, quality control, and failure tree analysis.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• At least five years of professional experience in the thermal simulation of mechatronic systems in an industrial setting.
• Proficient in CATIA; experience with FloEFD or Ansys is desirable.
• Knowledge of model‑based design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or Python.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to explain technical information in layman’s terms.
• Curious and pragmatic mindset.
