Theoretical Quantum Optics Researcher
I am currently partnered with an exciting up‑coming deep‑tech company developing novel analytical methods to deliver quantitative measurements combining quantum and drug discovery.
The company's mission is to use light and spectroscopic interactions to analyse biological samples, combining theoretical and experimental techniques.
We are looking for an enthusiastic hardworking researcher in theoretical quantum optics to explore new scientific directions. You will perform theoretical calculations to support and refine protocols and approaches within discrete‑variables and non‑gaussian states.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, willing to challenge established frameworks, and able to navigate open‑ended research questions with autonomy.
What you will do
- Develop quantum protocols involving both discrete‑variable (superposition and entangled states) and continuous‑variable regimes, including non‑gaussian states.
- You will perform theoretical calculations and critical literature reviews.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with in‑house experimentalists and theorists to align theoretical developments.
Who we are looking for
- Post‑doc experience (appreciated but not mandatory)
- Deep strong theoretical knowledge surrounding quantum protocols
- A strong ability to perform theoretical calculations and critical literature reviews to support and refine these approaches.
