About EGIDE: EGIDE is developing a new generation of scalable air‑defense architectures. We design autonomous interceptors and mission systems that blend missile‑grade engineering with pragmatic industrial methods. Our teams move fast, iterate, and test in the real world — because performance is proven on the range, not on PowerPoint.
We are looking for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys building, flying, breaking, documenting, and improving. If your natural habitat is a lab bench, a 3D printer, a hangar, or an open test field, you’ll feel at home here.
What you will do:
- Rapid prototyping & lab builds: produce mechanical prototypes (3D printing, foam machining, epoxy, composite patching, etc.), assemble and modify sub‑systems (airframes, payload mounts, sensor rigs), wire, solder and integrate low‑voltage electronics (ESC, sensors, actuators, small logic/MCU boards).
- Flight & ground testing: prepare and conduct development tests and demonstrations, draft test plans, safety documentation, and flight procedures, operate UAV/VTOL systems in accordance with regulations (tele‑pilot license a strong plus), manage test sites, coordination, equipment setup, and safety perimeter.
- Telemetry & reporting: design and implement telemetry setups (DAQs, embedded logging, RF relays), collect and depool test data, perform basic interpretation and trend analysis, write structured test reports and propose recommendations to improve hardware or software.
- Field logistics & operations: organize equipment, transport, tools, consumable, batteries, spares; maintain storage, labeling, post‑test recovery, readiness of prototypes; handle test site permits, scheduling, and operational checklists.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree (mechanical, mechatronics, aerospace, electronics, or equivalent).
- Prior experience in development testing, UAV/rocket projects, prototyping, or field experimentation—professional or hobby.
- Comfortable with bench work: soldering, cabling, ESC/servo programming, telemetry nodes.
- Familiar with CAD or CAM workflows (SolidWorks, Fusion, CATIA, etc.).
- Knowledge of UAV regulations, risk assessments, or safety documentation.
- Autonomous, solution‑driven, organized; not afraid of dust, wind, or failure.
- Strong communication skills: able to document, summarize, and feed design loops.
Bonus points:
- Drone or rocket enthusiast, RC builder, model aircraft experience.
- FPV or test pilot background.
- Experience with mission logging, hardware‑in‑the‑loop, or sensor calibration.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, C/C++ or Python scripting.
- Hands‑on shop experience (CNC, composite layup, metalwork).
Why join EGIDE:
- Real hardware, real flights, real impact.
- Work on systems that protect — and that actually fly.
- Competitive salary + meaningful equity.
- 100% health coverage.
- Small, elite engineering team with a lot of autonomy.
- A chance to shape a new generation of European defense capabilities.
How to Apply:
Send your CV and a short overview of past projects (UAV builds, test setups, prototyping, etc.) to or apply via LinkedIn.
If you’ve ever repaired a drone on the hood of a car at 6am or machined a test part the night before a flight — tell us. We’ll understand.
