Test Lead

The Senior QA / Test Lead is responsible for defining, designing, executing, and coordinating functional, business, and strategic testing activities across multiple projects. The role contributes to the evolution of testing practices, ensuring quality assurance, structured test governance, and alignment with Agile or V‑Model delivery frameworks. It spans hands‑on test execution, test design, anomaly management, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. For senior missions, the role also includes shaping test strategies, building standardized testing processes, and contributing to multi‑year QA roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, design, execute, and monitor testing activities across multiple projects.
• Draft and maintain test strategies, requirement specifications, test plans, and structured documentation.
• Design and execute functional test cases, create datasets, track and manage anomalies.
• Implement and follow Agile testing practices (test execution within squads, monitoring, support).
• Review functional and technical specifications for testability and completeness.
• Support test results analysis and provide assistance to users and stakeholders.
• (Senior level) Assess existing QA practices, define enterprise-wide testing strategies, governance, and operating models.
• (Senior level) Build long‑term QA roadmaps, standardize processes, and contribute to non‑functional testing strategy.

Mandatory Skills

• Testing Methodologies & QA Practices
• ISTQB Foundation certification (mandatory); ISTQB Test Manager recommended.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (V‑Model, Agile, test strategy design).
• Experience in test management, test planning, execution, and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple test cycles and coordinate cross‑project QA activities.

Tools & Technical Skills

• JIRA (mandatory) — test management, tracking, reporting.
• XRay (mandatory for Test Lead roles).
• SQL basics (execution, validation, dataset creation).
• Test automation exposure (Robot Framework or equivalent).
• Scripting for senior/strategic roles: GitHub, Ansible, AWX, shell, VBA (desirable).

Specific Requirements

• Ability to operate in French‑English bilingual environments.
• Hybrid work: typically, 50–60% remote, with required onsite presence in Paris (depending on mission).
• Ability to deliver both hands‑on testing and senior‑level QA governance depending on project scope.
• Ability to write and define multi‑year QA roadmaps and manage UAT, pre‑prod, regression environments.
