Freelance Senior Test Engineer – Strasbourg

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join a major institutional software project in Strasbourg.

Duration: Minimum 10 months, with possible extensions

Contract: B2B freelance only - EU citizenship is Mandatory

The role

• Automated functional, integration and performance testing
• Full end-to-end system workflows
• Load, stress and scalability testing in cloud environments
• Test case design, execution and defect management
• Corrective testing and resolution of critical defects
• Structured logging, traceability and system auditing
• Synthetic test-data generation

Technical environment

Java 17/21, Spring Boot, REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON Schema, gRPC, JUnit, Cucumber, Karate, Postman, Newman, JMeter, Gatling, k6, Selenium, REST-assured, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD, Docker, Kubernetes, JIRA/Xray, Splunk and SonarQube.

Required experience

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science
• Minimum 6 years of relevant IT experience
• Minimum 4 years of automated and manual testing experience
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience working with development teams in international environments
• Excellent written and spoken English
• EU citizenship and ability to provide a criminal-record certificate
