Purpose of the job
Located on Valenciennes in the north of France; you will join one of the biggest train development sites for double‑deck trains and metros, with more than 1,700 employees.
Responsibilities
- Build a robust and competitive tender cost commitment through the internal procurement network following the defined timeline.
- Manage the product procurement reference library (standard product catalogue) to fit with market price.
- Organise cost reduction workshops with all internal stakeholders (engineering, central and local procurement teams, etc.) and follow their progress.
- Challenge platform requirements where and when relevant.
- Monitor the tender cost budget on a monthly basis and identify risks and mitigation plans.
- Respect the defined tender saving target.
Organization and reporting
You will be reporting to the Procurement Director.
Interface & network
Global Commodity Team / Project Managers / Engineering Team.
Minimum qualifications
- Master’s/MBA in Business, Purchasing/Sourcing or equivalent.
Experience
- Industrial or project background.
- Sourcing, finance or project background.
- Communication, internal and external influencing skills.
- Negotiation.
- Strategic vision.
- Project management.
