Technology Due Diligence Consultant for Private Equity & M&A
As a Senior Consultant – Technology Due Diligence , you will support investors, Private Equity funds, and corporate acquirers in assessing technology risks and identifying value creation opportunities in M&A and investment contexts.
You will specialize in evaluating software-driven and technology-enabled companies , providing independent, fact-based assessments of their technology landscape, including software architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering capabilities, and operational scalability.
Your expertise will help investors understand the key technology drivers impacting investment decisions, including scalability potential, technical debt, execution capabilities, technology risks, and post-acquisition transformation priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute Technology Due Diligence engagements for buy-side and vendor-side transactions.
- Assess the quality, maturity, scalability, and robustness of technology platforms and software products.
- Analyze software architecture, infrastructure, cloud environments, cybersecurity frameworks, engineering practices, and technology teams’ capabilities.
- Identify key technology risks, improvement areas, and value creation opportunities.
- Evaluate the ability of technology organizations to support future business growth and transformation plans.
- Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights tailored for investors and business stakeholders.
- Prepare investment-grade reports and presentations supporting underwriting decisions and post-deal strategies.
- Collaborate with Private Equity investors, management teams, and multidisciplinary advisory teams throughout transaction processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Technology Due Diligence methodologies and market expertise.
Location & Package
Location: Paris (20th arrondissement), with the possibility of being based elsewhere in France.
Working model: Hybrid.
Compensation: Competitive salary, based on experience and qualifications.
Profile
Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in Technology Consulting, IT Advisory, Digital Transformation, Software Engineering, or Technology Due Diligence.
Experience ideally gained within a consulting firm such as Onepoint, BearingPoint, Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Wavestone, or an equivalent firm.
Proven experience delivering technology assessments in M&A or investment contexts.
Strong understanding of software development environments, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and modern technology architectures.
Ability to combine deep technical expertise with strong business and investment acumen.
Excellent analytical, synthesis, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and investment professionals.
