About the Role

Brive-la-Gaillarde, site Blédina. Technicien(ne) expert pilote responsible for pilot testing, supporting industrial trials and providing technical assistance on process optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct pilot tests in coordination with product development engineers.
• Define and adjust test conditions based on objectives.
• Order and implement raw materials and packaging for product formulation.
• Perform thermal processing on tubular platforms, autoclave, DSI, and dosage of pots with capsule or on aseptic rolling bulkettes.
• Carry out pilot‑scale quality controls (ATP, pH, flow, rapid MS).
• Manage stocks of raw materials, packaging, chemicals, and sampling library.
• Analyze data, prepare clear reports of test conditions, objectives, results, and conclusions.
• Analyse results, propose solutions, modifications and improvements, and coordinate key stakeholders.
• Maintain and perform first‑level cleaning and equipment upkeep of the pilot platform.
• Participate in product tastings and may be involved in organising tastings with project teams.
• Participate in pre‑test meetings and risk analysis (MCI).
• Provide expertise to define parameters or equipment to use.
• Analyse, exploit and formalise data from industrial trials.

Qualifications

• Industrial or electrical engineering background with unit operations and equipment for preparation, thermal treatment, and packaging in the agrifood sector.
• Experience with pasteurisation or sterilisation schedules and determining cooking values.
• Ability to identify technical problems and implement action plans.
• Knowledge of ingredient functionality, product–process interactions, including cutting, flocculation, rheology, roasting.
• Understanding of key microorganisms in foods.
• Familiarity with sanitation of equipment and aseptic rules.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills; ability to synthesize and alert stakeholders.
• Proficiency in IT tools (Excel, PowerPoint, autoclave programming software) and extracting data from thermal platforms.
• Proficiency with analytical measurement tools, effective and pragmatic approach, prioritising actions.
