Technicien Fabrication Additive (h/f/d)

As part of the Production team, you will contribute to the manufacturing of metal parts using additive manufacturing, supporting the development and production of our launcher. You will participate in the industrialization of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement, working closely with Latitude’s various technical teams.

Tasks & missions

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and industrialize metal additive manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare manufacturing jobs, including manufacturability analysis, definition of manufacturing strategies, support structures, and job preparation.
  • Produce parts that meet the required specifications using additive manufacturing equipment.
  • Carry out post-processing operations, monitor inspections, and support part qualification.
  • Perform the necessary tests and prepare reports to ensure production quality.
  • Participate in non-conformity analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support for equipment and contribute to its maintenance.

The role has some specific requirements, including:

  • Interaction with the production team, other teams within the company, and external partners.
  • Potential travel to external partners and/or industrial trade shows and conferences.
  • The additive manufacturing process involves the use of fine metal powders, inert gas (argon) for inerting, and isopropyl alcohol for cleaning.
  • Handling loads of less than 40 kg.
  • Use of PPE (protective clothing, gloves, and supplied-air respiratory protection).

Preferred experience & skills

Education

  • DUT / BUT in Physical Measurements, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another field related to metallurgy or additive manufacturing.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of metal additive manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy and materials science.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD and additive manufacturing preparation software.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and understand dimensional tolerances.
  • Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and characterization processes for metallic materials (machining, welding, heat treatment, tensile testing, hardness testing, etc.).
  • Operationnal French and professional English.

Experience

  • Previous experience in additive manufacturing.
  • Ability to work independently with equipment and software.

  • We review your profile and schedule a short call (approximately 30 minutes) to understand your current situation, your motivations and expectations for this role, while outlining the next steps.
  • If we’re aligned, you’ll meet with the Head of Department and a member of the HR team for an interview (approximately 1 to 1.5 hours). Depending on the position, a technical test may sometimes be part of the process.
