Technical Textile Buyer / Sourcing Specialist (M/F)

As part of our growth and the structuring of our purchasing activities, we are creating a position for a Buyer / Sourcing Specialist specialized in technical textiles to strengthen our team and support our international expansion.

Your role will primarily involve sourcing technical textile fabrics and chemicals for our coating processes, while ensuring the competitiveness of our current product lines.

All other purchases necessary for the operation of our industrial sites will also need to be reviewed and/or reevaluated.

Your Responsibilities

• Identify, select, and develop a network of international suppliers specialized in technical textiles.
• Search for and qualify new suppliers that meet quality, cost, lead-time, and innovation requirements.
• Manage supplier tenders, commercial negotiations, and the implementation of contractual agreements.
• Help develop technical specifications in collaboration with the R&D and Quality departments.
• Conduct ongoing market intelligence on technical materials, market trends, and industry innovations.
• Work closely with technical, quality, and product development teams.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement plans.
• Contribute to securing supply chains and optimizing purchasing costs.
• Coordinate purchasing and sourcing for our two manufacturing sites (in France and Switzerland) and oversee the development of shared channels.
• You will be expected to provide support to our Chargeurs PCC division for approximately 20% of your time, in addition to your primary duties at Senfa-Cilander.

Profile Sought

• Higher education degree in purchasing, international business, textiles, or a related field.
• Significant experience of at least 5 years in purchasing and/or sourcing, ideally within the technical textile or technical materials sector.
• Excellent knowledge of international purchasing processes and supplier management.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Autonomous, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Ability to travel frequently abroad, including at least once a month to our Swiss location.

Languages

• Fluent German required.
• French appreciated / ideally proficient.
