About the Role
A Technical Specialist is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction by assisting the sales team in developing and presenting required IT solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth technical discussions with clients, focusing on business goals and outcomes
- Investigate client networks and complete network assessments which will support solution proposals and develop strategic direction
- Collaborate with technical resources to design and build proper hardware and infrastructure solutions
- Support sales during quoting and proposal/closing process as the primary technical resource
- Understand clients’ needs especially with compliance and regulations
- Partner with sales to identify, qualify and develop new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
- Support account growth by identifying gaps, risks, or improvement opportunities in client environments
- Prepare and present KPI and SLA performance reviews with clients and internal staff, creating action plans where appropriate
- Support sales through Quarterly Business Review process by serving as the resource for all technical-related topics
Requirements & Qualifications
- Interpersonal and client relation skills
- Ability to think strategically and critically
- Keen attention to detail and ability to problem solve
- Prioritize customer service and client satisfaction
- 5+ years in Information Technology field
- Associate degree or equivalent with a demonstrated successful work history
- Experience with Microsoft ecosystem including Servers, Entra ID, Exchange, Teams and Azure
- Understanding of a SaaS model and hosting solutions
- Understanding of basic network technologies including wireless technologies
- Network infrastructure (router/switch/firewalls) knowledge
- Microsoft server/AD experience and certifications is a plus
- Experience supporting pre-sales or client-facing solution discussionsAbility to translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting opportunities through the sales cycle by addressing technical objections.
