Technical Services Trainer
Job Purpose
The Technical Service Trainer delivers high-quality, industry-leading technical training to customers, technicians, and internal teams across Delphi Academy in France and other French-speaking countries. The role ensures training programmes meet the highest professional standards, maintain and develop the Academy’s curriculum, and support the planning and management of the training calendar.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, professional technical training across various disciplines, including diagnostics, EV/hybrid systems, ADAS, emissions, electronics, and chassis technologies.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical training that supports technicians of all experience levels.
- Maintain accurate training and attendance records to support reporting, development planning, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the creation and continual improvement of course materials, presentations, assessments, and practical exercises.
- Ensure training content reflects current legislation, industry standards, and product updates.
- Capture delegate feedback and refine course structure and content accordingly.
- Support the development of new modules aligned with emerging technologies and market needs.
- Act as a technical ambassador for Delphi Academy, reinforcing customer confidence and promoting the training offering.
- Provide guidance to delegates before, during, and after training to support workplace application.
- Assist with planning and managing the Academy’s training schedule and resource allocation.
- Prepare training rooms, diagnostic equipment, and vehicles to ensure a safe, professional learning environment.
- Identify and address equipment issues promptly to maintain high training standards.
- Collaborate with technical support teams to share knowledge and maintain consistent messaging.
- Support cross‑functional activities such as content creation, pilot courses, and internal training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering technical training within the automotive sector.
- In-depth knowledge of modern vehicle systems, diagnostics, and emerging technologies.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience designing and developing training content (classroom and online).
- Confidence using diagnostic tools and automotive test equipment.
- High-level IT literacy and familiarity with e-learning platforms.
- Excellent organisational and planning ability.
- Comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders – from technicians to senior leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a global, cross‑matrix organization.
- Technical understanding of the automotive industry and aftermarket.
