Overview

Are you an experienced Photonics Technical Sales Engineer with a proven track record of developing business within optics, photonics, or imaging? This role represents cutting-edge technology and aims to build long-term customer relationships. The client is seeking to add an experienced Photonics Technical Sales Engineer to their commercial team, covering the eastern region of France.

Working closely with leading global technology manufacturers, you will be responsible for promoting a diverse portfolio of high-performance photonics products and solutions. The range includes advanced laser systems, optical components, photodetectors, imaging technologies covering multiple wavelength bands, and vision software used across scientific, industrial, and high-tech applications.

This is a commercially focused position that combines business development with account management. You will identify new opportunities, strengthen relationships with existing customers, understand technical challenges, and recommend suitable solutions that create long-term value. You will also prepare commercial proposals, negotiate with customers and international suppliers, and maintain an active sales pipeline through CRM. The role offers genuine autonomy and the opportunity to influence your own success while working alongside experienced technical and commercial professionals, with regular interaction with international manufacturing partners and exposure to innovative technologies at the forefront of the photonics industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in optics, photonics, laser, imaging, or other advanced technology solutions.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing customers and understand their technical challenges.
  • Recommend suitable solutions that create long-term value and prepare commercial proposals.
  • Negotiate with customers and international suppliers; maintain an active sales pipeline through CRM.
  • Collaborate with international manufacturing partners and stay informed about innovating technologies in photonics.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience selling optics, photonics, laser, imaging, or other advanced technology solutions.
  • A successful background in technical B2B sales with a consultative approach.
  • A passion for winning new business while growing existing customer accounts.
  • Proactive, organized, and self-driven, capable of working independently and achieving ambitious targets.
  • Confidently communicate in English with international suppliers and manufacturing partners.
