Sentinel is looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner (Technical Data PO) to join a global organisation supporting a sophisticated Marketing Data Platform (MDP).

This is a hands-on technical delivery role sitting within a dedicated Scrum team and working closely with a Tech Lead, Technical Architect, DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers and wider platform teams. You’ll take ownership of the technical backlog and help drive the continued evolution of a large-scale cloud data platform.

The Role

You will own end-to-end Scrum delivery, ensuring technical initiatives are delivered against agreed scope, timelines, resources and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Own and drive the Scrum backlog, including prioritisation, refinement, estimates and dependencies.
• Coordinate technical initiatives across the Marketing Data Platform.
• Support projects involving AWS infrastructure, interconnections, monitoring, CI/CD, Data Factory and Data Marketplace.
• Work closely with architects, DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers and other Scrum teams.
• Identify and manage technical dependencies, risks, scope changes and delivery challenges.
• Communicate delivery progress and key decisions clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
• Drive improvements across Agile practices, platform governance, scalability, maintainability and cost management.
• Ensure strong documentation across project delivery and the data product lifecycle.

Technical Environment

The platform is primarily built on AWS and uses a Delta Lake architecture. We are particularly interested in candidates with knowledge or experience across:

The successful candidate doesn't necessarily need to be a hands-on engineer, but should have enough technical depth to challenge estimates, understand platform constraints and translate technical dependencies into clear delivery actions.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience as a Technical Product Owner, Technical Project Manager, Delivery Manager or similar.
• Strong background within data, analytics, cloud or digital platforms.
• Proven Agile/Scrum experience covering backlog ownership, sprint planning, refinement and delivery.
• Experience coordinating Architects, DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers and platform teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud data platforms – ideally AWS.
• Experience working within enterprise-scale or distributed environments.
• Coding or Data Engineering experience would be advantageous but isn't essential. xuezdbg

This will be an initial contract that runs until the end of the year but is highly likely to extend well into 2027 and beyond.
