Technical Product Owner

Role Overview

As a Technical Product Owner at Swapcard, you will lead a squad of engineers and own your product area end to end, from roadmap strategy to shipped features. You’ll work closely with clients, internal sales and success teams, and usage data to translate insights into a clear, prioritized backlog. Your responsibilities include writing user stories and acceptance criteria that engineers can build from, making trade‑off decisions on what to build next, balancing new capabilities, technical debt, and bug fixes based on real customer impact, and collaborating on architecture, design feasibility, and user experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product ownership (or a similar product role) in a software development environment.
• A technical foundation – either a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or hands‑on experience that shows you understand how software systems work.
• Strong analytical skills: you make decisions with data, validate assumptions, and measure success.
• Excellent prioritization instincts; you know how to sequence work across new features, tech debt, and bugs to maximize customer value.
• Comfort communicating clearly in English, our working language.
