Technical Pre-sales consultant
Reporting to the WW Sales & Marketing Director and working closely with the Customer Success and Professional Services teams, the Technical Pre-Sales Consultant plays a key role in the success of Agatha's pre-sales activities.
The Technical Pre-Sales Consultant contributes to the preparation, configuration, customization, and presentation of product demonstrations in order to showcase Agatha's value to prospects and effectively support the sales team in closing opportunities.
The successful candidate combines strong customer-facing skills with technical expertise and the ability to design complete business solutions. Beyond individual configurations, they must be able to understand how workflows, metadata, permissions, forms, integrations, and business rules interact together within a platform to deliver customer value.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and Coordination of Technical Pre-Sales Activities
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives to understand customer needs and define tailored solution approaches.
- Participate in discovery sessions to gather business and technical requirements.
- Configure, customize, and maintain demonstration environments according to each prospect's context.
- Design and adapt demonstration scenarios to specific use cases (Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Document Management, etc.).
Active Participation in Demonstrations
- Lead or actively participate in pre-sales meetings, workshops, and demonstrations.
- Illustrate the business, functional, and technical value of Agatha's solutions.
- Respond to technical and functional questions throughout the sales process.
- Support commercial negotiations by providing technical expertise and solution guidance.
RFP & Technical Support
- Contribute to responses for RFPs, RFIs, URSs, security questionnaires, and technical assessments.
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into solution configurations and technical responses.
- Work with internal stakeholders to validate feasibility and proposed approaches.
- Work closely with Customer Success and Professional Services teams to ensure consistency between sales commitments and deployment realities.
- Build on customer feedback to continuously improve demonstration environments, sales assets, and standard configurations.
- Identify customer needs and use cases that can contribute to future product enhancements and product roadmap discussions.
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and standardization efforts.
Qualifications
Education
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Engineering background strongly preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting, Technical Consulting, or a similar role, ideally within a SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of business processes, preferably within Life Sciences or other regulated industries.
