Job Description
The Technical Expert oversees technical architecture, leads projects, ensures a successful handover to operations, provides high‑level technical support to Service Managers on complex incidents, drives service innovation, and leads a product community to communicate strategy and foster continuous improvement.
Main Activities
- Maintain expertise in connectivity products and technologies (SDWAN, LAN, WIFI, PROXY, DNS/DHCP, FIREWALL) with vendors to drive innovation in deployed solutions.
- Manage and ensure compliance of network architectures with Technical Architecture and Operations Documents (DATEX).
- Update and maintain technical documentation and architecture compliance.
- Lead small to medium‑size projects as project manager; ensure smooth transition to operational teams led by Service Managers.
- Animate and lead communities around assigned products to communicate on strategy, product evolutions, and service understanding.
- Drive continuous improvement actions through active community engagement and knowledge sharing.
- Support Service Managers in controlling managed service provider activities, particularly on complex tickets and critical incidents.
- Conduct technical diagnostics, validate action plans, and ensure resolution on complex and critical incidents.
- Ensure technical best practices and compliance with operational procedures are respected.
- Provide technical escalation support and expertise to Service Managers on complex operational topics.
- Participate in service definition and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in vendor management and technical committees.
- Optimize technical solutions to improve end‑user experience and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Technical: Expertise in connectivity products and technologies (SDWAN, LAN, WIFI, PROXY, DNS/DHCP, FIREWALL).
- Project management: Lead small to medium‑size projects as project manager.
- Client centricity: Animate and lead communities around assigned products to communicate on strategy, product evolutions, and service understanding.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL): Integration in a service approach to guarantee Operational Excellence and good transition from project to operational teams.
- English: Fluent to be able to discuss with BU and use international documentation.
- Simplifying complex concepts: Ability to make complex information easy to understand for a non‑expert audience.
- Communication IT & Business: Ability to transmit information, broadcast a message in a clear and understandable way.
- Transversality: Ability to work with several teams with no hierarchical link.
- Decision making: Ability to listen, decide or escalate.
- Conviction / Assertivity: Ability to argue to persuade.
- Formalisation & Rigor: Ability to be clear in the communication, to ensure a good understanding & alignment of the different stakeholders.
- Autonomy: Ability to understand needs, use hard & soft skill to manage topics without systematic escalation. Define an approach to solve topics with efficiency.
- Organisation skills: Ability to plan its activities and those of its teams.
- Leadership: Ability to position itself at the head of a group and to lead and motivate teams.
- Sense of performance/client: Ability to meet commitments, in continuous search for improvement and wish to overperform.
- Interpersonal skills: Ability to interact well with other people, to collaborate and cooperate.
- Synthesis skills: Ability to combine separate elements in order to form a coherent whole and quickly understand.
