Role Overview
As a Technical Expert and Project Manager at Sunmi Technology Europe , you will play a key role in driving the successful deployment and adoption of Sunmi’s products and solutions across the European market. You will act as the technical bridge between Customers and R&D centers , ensuring solutions are effectively implemented, integrated, and maintained .
This role focuses on technical delivery, solution optimization, and operational excellence across projects. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic international environment and enjoys combining deep technical expertise with project coordination and problem-solving .
Responsibilities
Technical Expertise & Product Leadership
- Serve as technical expert and referent for Payment & POS products and solutions (Key Injection, MDM, TMS, etc.) across Europe.
- Provide technical guidance for platform and product improvements.
- Participate in testing and validation of new products, features, and enhancements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product reliability, performance, and integration capabilities .
Customer Assistance & Project Management
- Collaborate with Customers and R&D teams during solution design and project delivery , providing technical expertise throughout implementation phases .
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into robust, scalable technical solutions .
- Guide and assist customers in implementing and configuring POS and payment solutions .
- Own and drive resolution of technical consulting tickets and operational issues (Jira) , including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and coordination with internal teams .
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and troubleshooting guides .
- Contribute to the internal knowledge base with FAQs, best practices, and recurring issue analyses .
- Deliver technical presentations, training sessions, and product demonstrations (focused on implementation and enablement ).
Communication & Reporting
- Maintain clear and professional communication to ensure customer satisfaction and project transparency .
- Report project progress, risks, and escalations using Jira and Confluence .
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and Engineering teams , ensuring efficient issue resolution and feedback loops .
Qualifications
Education & Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electronics .
- At least 5 years in technical leadership, project management, or solution engineering within Payment, Security, Retail, or Banking .
- Experience in software development (5+ years) with Android, Java, Kotlin, and cloud-based applications .
Technical Expertise
- Solid knowledge of payment technologies and standards (EMV, PCI PTS, P2PE) .
- Familiarity with cryptography and security protocols , including encryption and digital signatures .
- Understanding of network protocols, hardware integration, and embedded device communication .
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and agile environments .
- Strong experience in technical troubleshooting, system integration, and customer-facing solution delivery .

- Highly organized with strong planning, prioritization, and risk management skills.
- Comfortable working with remote and multicultural teams across time zones .
- Strong communication and presentation skills , with ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders .
- Proactive, autonomous , and capable of managing complex cross-functional topics .
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a structured and analytical approach .
Languages & Mobility
- English – fluent ; French or Polish – preferred ; Chinese – a plus .
- Willingness to travel across Europe for customer visits and project follow-ups .
