Technical Consultant - Production and Architecture

Murex is a global fintech leader in trading, risk management and processing solutions for capital markets, operating from 19 offices and employing 3,400 professionals from over 65 nationalities.

The PAC (Professional Account Center) team, part of the Client Services department, provides customized external client technical support for the Europe, Middle East and Africa business units.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

• Deliver a robust technical solution that meets client requirements.
• Ensure the maintainability, scalability and testability of MX.3.
• Handle client production for MX.3 through CRM support cases.
• Build deep technical expertise and a strong client relationship to deliver high‑quality support.
• Collaborate between various teams in client services and development departments.
• Advocate for fixes and contribute to innovative features in the platform.
• Provide infrastructure hardware sizing and types based on specific requirements.
• Formulate disaster recovery site strategies and provide ongoing support.
• Ensure platform security requirements, including encryption of data in transit and at rest.
• Lead, design and execute performance non‑functional testing streams.
• Assist clients in designing dashboards for monitoring the platform using APM solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Eagerness to learn the latest Murex technologies.
• Passion for problem‑solving and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Ability to work under pressure in operations and support scopes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good team player, capable of interacting with our team across different regions.
• Programming skills in Java or C and any interpreted language.
• Database skills: SQL query building and performance analysis; database administration for Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL or PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Operating system power user skills: Linux – Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with Java profiling tools and Java debugging tools (threads, heap dumps, garbage collection).
• Familiarity with any performance testing tool and ability to analyze Java thread dumps.
