Tech Lead GCP

Why this role matters

Within the Group IT department, you will be responsible for the maintenance, evolution, and governance of our GCP-based Data Platform, built on a Medallion architecture. You will lead data ingestion, transformation, and governance initiatives while ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of the cloud environment — all within a SAFe-driven Delivery organization.

What you will work on

• Data Platform & Ingestion
  • Maintain and evolve the Data Platform within the Medallion architecture
  • Design, deploy, and optimize multi-source ingestion flows (Datastream for transactional database replication, API integrations, flat file loading/synchronization)
  • Ensure data availability, performance, and quality across the platform
• Dataform & Data Governance
  • Develop and maintain Dataform pipelines following best practices
  • Evolve the internal development framework
  • Ensure data organization, security, and access management across the GCP environment
• Infrastructure & CI/CD
  • Administer and evolve Terraform pipelines (projects, resources, IAM roles)
  • Supervise and optimize CI/CD processes on GitLab for Terraform, Dataform, Dataproc, and upcoming services (Vertex AI)
  • Manage network architecture including Shared VPC and VPC Service Controls
  • Set up VPN connectivity between cloud environments via Terraform
  • Ensure the overall security of the cloud environment
• Team & Product Support
  • Guide, upskill, and animate the Data engineering team
  • Support technical and business teams in defining and executing data strategies
  • Act as a driving force for the evolution of the Data Platform and associated data products
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Architecture, Infrastructure) and the Product team (PO/PM) within SAFe rituals

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Excellent command of Google Cloud Platform, with a strong focus on data-related services; good knowledge of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Solid experience with BigQuery, Dataform, Composer (Airflow), Dataproc, PubSub, Dataplex, and Datastream
• Expertise in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) and familiarity with Docker
• In-depth experience with CI/CD processes, notably on GitLab (pipelines, templates, runners)
• Skills in complex network configuration management, including Shared VPC and VPC Service Controls
• Advanced cloud security skills
• Proven project management and technical leadership skills, with strong ability to influence and lead multidisciplinary teams
• Exposure to AI/ML integration and industrialization (MLOps/LLMOps) of predictive/classification models and LLMs (Vertex AI, third‑party APIs such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, etc.)
• Fluent English is mandatory (written and spoken): C1 level, as the role involves producing documentation and leading meetings in English.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Tech Lead or in a similar role on GCP
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively
