Quality Team Manager

Ford Energy is a newly formed, wholly‑owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company dedicated to accelerating U.S. energy independence. Leveraging Ford’s century of manufacturing excellence and world‑class battery energy storage systems (BESS) technology, Ford Energy designs, manufactures and services grid‑scale and commercial DC battery energy storage systems. Responsibilities

In this critical role you will:

  • Lead an agile team to deliver advanced technology driving the future of mobility.
  • Apply an entrepreneurial mindset to implement data‑driven solutions in a high‑stakes manufacturing environment.
  • Create a culture of trust, encourage inquiry, and foster the next generation of leaders.

Operational Excellence & Quality Systems

  • Drive continuous adherence to the Quality Operating System (QOS) and lead Ford Energy Production System activities.
  • Manage pre‑delivery finished inventory and assess “OK to Ship” status daily to ensure the highest quality products reach customers.
  • Provide real‑time quality feedback to departments and ensure quality specifications are upheld.
  • Oversee surveillance calls and campaigns, ensuring all departments respond with urgency and precision.
  • Drive lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes across all functions.

Leadership & Culture

  • Develop a “Leaders as Teachers” environment, providing coaching and training to optimize individual performance and career advancement.
  • Embrace the Gemba philosophy: engage regularly on the production floor to listen, learn and problem‑solve alongside your team.
  • Remove barriers to success for your team, developing their technical skills and professional capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience: Significant experience in manufacturing processes and quality systems.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership experience with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to drive technical solutions.
  • Even better, you may have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management or a related field.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Strong working knowledge of traceability and testing data systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conflict management, negotiation and persuasion.
  • Ability to work closely with others to deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.

Location & Travel

U.S. with domestic travel.

Compensation

This leadership level 6 role ranges from $115,500 to $218,100. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate’s skills, experience and market value.
