We are currently looking for aTeam Leader, Global Trade Management based in Europe. This role is leads a trade compliance team, ensuring compliant operations, KPI delivery, risk management, and client satisfaction. The main responsibilities are the following :
Team Leadership and Oversight
- Lead and manage a team of Trade Compliance professionals (Coordinators, Specialists, and Associates), ensuring high performance and engagement.
- Allocate workloads, set priorities, and ensure the timely and accurate execution of compliance activities while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Act as the first point of escalation for operational and compliance-related issues within the team.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide regular coaching, and support the professional development of team members.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure Trade Compliance policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions are up to date and consistently implemented.
- Oversee the team's operational activities, including HS tariff classification, preferential origin determination, customs compliance audits, and other trade compliance processes.
- Monitor changes in customs regulations, export controls, sanctions, and other international trade requirements, ensuring appropriate implementation within the team.
Customer and Project Management
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by proactively identifying risks and escalating issues to management when appropriate.
- Analyze complex trade compliance issues, develop practical solutions, and provide clear recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring contractual deadlines, service levels, and KPIs are consistently achieved by both yourself and your team.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities to expand Trade Compliance services and contribute to the achievement of financial and Go-to-Market (GTM) objectives.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Customs, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs, import/export operations, or international trade compliance.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and international trade compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions based on available information.
- Proficiency in SAP, ERP systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite is an advantage.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across different functions and cultures.
