Are you driven by leading high-performing teams and elevating execution across diverse markets for one of the world’s most influential sports brands? As Team Lead, you will take ownership of steering Product Trainer (PT) teams, ensuring operational discipline, strategic alignment, and a consistently strong presence in every store across your region.

You will operate at the strategic intersection of central direction and local delivery, guiding PT teams, partnering with client cluster leads, and ensuring training initiatives translate into measurable commercial impact.

Job purpose

The Team Lead provides strategic and operational leadership to Product Trainer teams across assigned regions. In this role, you ensure training excellence, operational consistency, and the achievement of performance KPIs. Acting as the key conduit between EU governance structures and market-level implementation, you ensure that standards, planning routines, and reporting mechanisms are upheld across the region.

This role combines people leadership, structured operational management, and on-the-ground retail expertise to secure a high-quality execution fully aligned with the client’s European training framework.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of training within the region, including forecasting, account planning, governance, and alignment with local cluster leads and wholesale partners
  • Provide leadership and coaching to PT teams, ensuring strong performance management, development planning, operational guidance, and approval of expenses
  • Steer KPI performance through continuous monitoring, structured feedback, and timely corrective actions
  • Capture, formalize, and share best practices across regions to drive alignment and ongoing optimization
  • Ensure delivery of client-provided training content, physical and digital, with strong preparation and execution excellence
  • Lead training tours, including classroom delivery, in-store sessions, store visits, and leadership-level meetings
  • Oversee reporting cycles, governance topics, uniform requirements, vacancies, and resource planning
  • Support local cluster readiness and enable wholesale partners’ integration into the training program
  • Contribute to budget inputs, recruitment processes, doorlist evaluations, tools reviews, partner buy-in, and frequency planning
  • Serve as the escalation point for your region, safeguarding process adherence and operational continuity

Key attributes

  • Strong people leader with demonstrated capability in developing and elevating field teams
  • Highly structured and detail-oriented, ensuring governance frameworks and reporting standards are rigorously followed
  • Solid understanding of retail environments and the drivers behind high-quality in-store execution
  • Ability to connect training activities with commercial outcomes, operational KPIs, and overall business performance
  • Confident communicator who manages stakeholders at multiple levels, including client cluster leads, store managers, and EU governance teams
  • Proactive, solutions-focused leader comfortable with dynamic field conditions and frequent travel
  • 3–5 years’ experience in retail training, field team leadership, or region/cluster management
  • Proven experience managing teams across multiple markets or large store portfolios
  • Strong background in training delivery and retail operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience working within governance frameworks, reporting structures, and multinational environments
  • Excellent local language, English communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel across assigned regions; a driver’s license may be required in certain markets
