Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor to join our growing professional services team. This is a full-time, in-office role suited to a motivated tax professional who enjoys hands‑on collaboration, supervising staff on‑site, and delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Review and supervise the preparation of individual, trust, partnership, company and SMSF income tax returns
• Provide taxation advice and support on a range of matters, including CGT, small business concessions, and structuring
• Manage workflow, deadlines and quality control for allocated jobs
• Supervise and support junior and intermediate staff, including on‑the‑job training and technical guidance
• Liaise directly with clients, the ATO and other external stakeholders
• Assist with tax planning, advisory work and internal process improvements
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, professional standards and firm policies

Skills Required

• Degree in Accounting, Commerce or Law (or equivalent)
• CA or CPA qualified, or currently undertaking
• Strong working knowledge of Australian (or relevant jurisdiction) tax legislation
• Previous experience in a public practice environment
• Demonstrated experience reviewing work and supervising staff
• Strong communication and client‑relationship skills
• Well‑organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage competing deadlines
