Systems Validation & Reliability Engineer
Most companies talk about operational readiness. This one needs someone to build it.
We're working with a European defence‑tech company whose autonomous platforms are actively deployed with allied military clients across multiple theatres. As they scale production and expand internationally, they need an MRO & Operational Readiness Engineer to own the quality, validation, and maintenance architecture that keeps systems mission‑ready.
The role
You’ll structure and deploy a comprehensive MRO programme across multiple sites – defining preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, leading environmental qualification campaigns (EMC, vibration, shock, thermal, IP), and building quality control processes across all system components: embedded electronics, sensors, RF modules, batteries, mechanical assemblies, and additively manufactured parts.
When something fails in the field, you’ll find out why. And make sure it doesn't happen again.
What you’ll bring
- A degree in Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Quality Engineering
- Experience in product validation, reliability engineering, or MRO of complex systems
- Solid knowledge of UAV, avionics, or embedded electronic systems
- Experience designing and executing environmental qualification campaigns
- Strong root cause analysis and CAPA capability
- Comfortable operating across multi‑site or international environments
Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100, accelerated aging, or destructive/non‑destructive testing is a plus.
Why this
You’re building from the ground up – not inheriting legacy processes. The pace is fast, the systems are real, and the operational context makes the work matter.
