Systems Engineer/Platform Developer- EMEA Remote

Overview

Be a Boomi Integration Platform Developer in Boomi Professional Services. In this role you will implement the Boomi platform and develop Boomi integrations and APIs for customers. This position supports Boomi Platform implementation remotely for clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Some travel (up to 20%) may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Your core duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Design and develop integration solutions in collaboration with regional Project Managers.
• Evaluate customer applications to determine integration approach.
• Become a product expert of Boomi applications including the AtomSphere integration platform and learn other parts of the Boomi platform.
• Recommend best practices for implementing, managing, and governing integrations using Boomi AtomSphere.
• Define and promote best practices of Boomi products across internal and external user communities.
• Provide support and coaching to junior team members.

Essential requirements

• Experience with enterprise integration tools, middleware technologies, and integration patterns including JMS, SOAP/REST web services, databases.
• Experience implementing services-oriented architecture and enabling technologies including messaging, XML, JSON, web services, and HTTP.
• Knowledge of common business systems (CRM, SFA, ERP) and processes (lead to cash, requisitions, order management).
• Understanding of key application infrastructure components such as VMware, storage, Java JVM, networking, firewalls, load balancing, proxies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with fluent written and spoken English.

Desirable requirements

• Database skills including SQL, data modelling, and databases (e.g. MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
• Development scripting skills with Java, Groovy, JavaScript.
• 1 year plus experience using the Boomi platform.
• Experience in a professional services consulting environment or direct customer interaction.
• Experience coaching and supporting junior team members.
• Additional language capabilities beyond English.
