System telecommunication engineer oil and gas

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Telecommunication Systems Engineer to join a major international engineering project within the energy sector.

You will play a key role in the design, specification and integration of telecommunication systems throughout the engineering phase, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and equipment suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Design telecommunication systems architecture and block diagrams
• Prepare technical specifications and engineering documentation
• Develop telecom layouts (CCTV, PAGA and associated systems)
• Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTO) for telecom equipment
• Coordinate interfaces with existing telecommunication systems
• Review vendor documentation and technical offers
• Participate in technical bid evaluations
• Support installation engineering and system validation activities
• Liaise with suppliers and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in Telecommunication Systems Engineering
• Strong experience within Oil & Gas, LNG or major industrial EPC projects
• Proven knowledge of:
• PAGA
• CCTV
• Telephone Systems
• Fiber Optic Networks
• LAN Networks
• TETRA
• Access Control Systems
• Wireless Systems
• Good knowledge of ISA, IEC and ATEX standards
• Experience with AutoCAD, MS Office and Visio
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international environment
• Professional working proficiency in English
