Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI)
Airbus Blagnac is looking for a Synthetic Flight Instructor (NON FLYING POSITION) to join the Airbus Training Centre.
You will instruct airline crews converting to Airbus on all operational and technical aspects for a specific type (or types) using:
- Fixed Base Simulators
- Classroom
- Airbus Pilots Training Devices
- Full Flight Simulators
You will give stand‑up lectures in order to insure airline crews capability to carry out safely and correctly all normal and emergency procedures required by Airworthiness authorities so that the crew will achieve the required level of standard proficiency.
You will adhere to Airbus standard policy and standardization as required by Airbus Flight Training Operations.
You will instruct the crews within the defined time limits.
You will evaluate the crews’ progression.
You will decide, if necessary, on the necessity to give any extra session to achieve the level of proficiency.
Task & accountabilities
- Instruct crews using the above mentioned training devices
- Deliver if required (and after being indoctrinated) other specific courses (ETOPS, performance…)
- Participate in courses development or in standardization instruction
Required skills
- Hold or have held a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) & Frozen ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) or ATPL
- Fluent in English
- Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) as Pilot
- Minimum 3,000 hours as Pilot
- Minimum 1,500 hours on Multi Pilot Aircraft (MPA)
- Minimum of three years commercial aviation experience as pilot on FAR 25 / CS 25 or FAR 23 / CS 23 aircrafts in Multi Pilot Operation (MPO), preferably on an Airbus Aircraft
- Presence of a Synthetic Flight Instructor Authorization or experience as Instructor would be a plus
- Negotiation level of English is required for this position
- Recognised for pedagogy, perseverance, flexibility, curiosity and adaptability
- Available for business trips worldwide
