Sybase Database Administrator

Location: Paris, France (50% on-site, 50% remote)

Overview

• Provide advanced database administration and engineering expertise for Sybase and PostgreSQL environments.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security in mission‑critical contexts.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Sybase and PostgreSQL databases.
• Ensure performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Manage replication and high availability.
• Handle incident management and root‑cause analysis.
• Produce technical and operational documentation.

Mandatory skills

• Sybase (SAP ASE)
• High Availability / Disaster Recovery
• Shell & Python scripting
• Automation tools
• Version control systems
