The Role

As a Sustainability Manager focusing on client relationships, you'll lead client engagements, manage major accounts, and complex projects within the finance sector. You will play a key role in growing business by cultivating strategic partnerships, identifying new opportunities, securing new business and co‑creating solutions aligned with client needs. You will contribute significantly to the company's revenue growth and strengthen our market presence in the sector.

You’ll craft and implement account strategies that reflect client priorities and sustainability goals, working closely with internal experts to ensure quality and consistency across delivery. You’ll collaborate with experienced consultants and junior colleagues to deliver impactful work—primarily within your sector, while occasionally contributing to projects across other areas. In doing so, you’ll continue building your consulting and relationship‑management skills in a collaborative, purpose‑driven environment. You’ll also mentor junior colleagues and may progressively take on line‑management responsibilities to support their growth and development.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of work experience relevant to the role, with exposure to sustainability and/or consulting.
• Strong business development and client‑relationship skills, with confidence managing accounts in the finance sector.
• Solid understanding of key challenges in the finance sector.
• Proven experience in project management.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience that equips you to guide companies to understand and design transformative and science‑based strategy (Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, etc.).
• Intellectual curiosity, science‑based mindset, and motivation to learn and grow.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to coach, teach and mentor team members.
• Confidence using generative AI tools while maintaining a critical and thoughtful mindset.
• Fluent in English and French.

Additional Qualifications

• Financial sector fluency: understanding of how sustainability translates across different financial sub‑segments (banks, asset managers, insurers, PE funds, etc.) and familiarity with sustainable finance instruments (green bonds, sustainability‑linked loans, ESG‑integrated fund strategies, etc.) and the business opportunities they create.
• ESG & sustainable finance knowledge: good working knowledge of major ESG disclosure & risk‑management frameworks/regulations (CSRD, TCFD, TNFD, Taxonomy, EBA, SFDR, etc.), financed emissions and nature accounting methodologies (PCAF, ENCORE, etc.) and target‑setting frameworks (SBTi, SBTN, GFANZ, NZIF, etc.).
• Network in the sustainable finance ecosystem: existing relationships with sustainability contacts within large European financial institutions & relevant industry bodies.

Career Path

As you develop and manage projects, you will be ready to lead large teams to deliver complex projects and to own senior client relationships, being the primary contact and trusted advisor for clients. Your next step will be Sustainability Principal, where you will drive business development at a strategic level across your sector.

Other Details

• Contract: Permanent
• Location: 15 rue de Cléry, Paris. You may be expected to work at the client's office and/or travel there occasionally.
• Optimal start date: September 2026
• Collaboration with other Quantis branches via web‑conference.
• Ability to travel occasionally.
