Sustainable Supply Chain Manager
Earthworm is a group of people who believes we can solve the big issues affecting people and nature today. We work in global supply chains impacting millions of people and places around the world to make the products we buy. We work on the ground, in forests, fields and factories, helping companies, farmers and communities find practical solutions together. And we know that, ultimately, trust and positive changes comes from people getting to work together, hands in the soil.
Your Role
The Sustainable Supply Chain Manager (Europe team) supports Earthworm Foundation Members and their suppliers of key agro-commodities such as palm, pulp and paper, coffee and cocoa, in developing and implementing responsible, sustainable supply chain strategies that benefit people and nature. In this role your key responsibilities will be:
- Strategy & Roadmaps : Develop and lead supply chain transformation strategies and technical roadmaps for Members in Europe, aligned with global initiatives and Earthworm’s mission.
- Analysis & Insights : Apply strong analytical and logical thinking to assess complex Member supply chains, identifying risks, overlaps, and opportunities for transformation.
- Project Management : Manage the delivery of our technical solutions, including traceability campaigns, No-Deforestation reporting, supplier engagement on No-Deforestation. Track relevant KPIs and build strategies to achieve Members’s sustainability objectives aligned with Earthworm’s vision.
- Grievance Coordination : Coordinate with the Grievance team on grievances in the supply chain of our Members, presenting clear findings and actionable follow-ups to Members.
- Solutions Support : help on the improvements, developments and roll out of Earthworm’s technical solutions.
- Team Member : Collaborate and share best practices with the European and Global Teams of Sustainable Supply Chain Managers.
Your Profile
Deeply passionate about leveraging agricultural supply chains you are committed to improve environmental and social outcomes, driven by a strong sense of purpose and high personal standards for doing things right. You hold yourself and your work to a high bar, and you're motivated by the idea of building something genuinely better – not just compliant, but transformative – within a dynamic non-profit that bridges companies, governments and civil society.
You are a natural relationship builder: attentive, generous with your time, and genuinely energized by supporting Members and suppliers through complex, sometimes difficult conversations. You read people and situations well, adapt your communication across cultures, and build the kind of trust that makes influencing stakeholders – without formal authority over them – feel authentic rather than transactional.
You bring a sharp, curious, analytical mind, comfortable diving deep into complex, overlapping datasets to uncover patterns others might miss. You enjoy understanding systems thoroughly before acting, translating that insight into practical, well-reasoned strategies, and you approach ambiguity with calm, structured thinking rather than being overwhelmed by it.
Workings Conditions
- Education: Undergraduate or Master degree in a relevant discipline (sustainability, engineering, supply chain, responsible sourcing or related field) is preferable
- Experience: 5 years minimum
- Language(s): Fluent English, Spanish and/or French a plus
