Sustainability Data Engineer & Solution Architect

Your Role
As a Sustainability Data Engineer (Solution Architect), you will be responsible for:
- Understanding the data needs of various internal teams and translating the needs into technical requirements.
- Creating, implementing, reviewing and improving internal data processes, including data structure, handling and quality controls.
- Managing existing database systems and integrating existing data workflows where possible.
- Creating data solutions for new commodities, products, and internal or external services.
- Exploring new tools & technologies to apply to our data workflows and products.
- Leading different data projects and managing relationships with any external partners we work with to deliver data solutions – examples of this are: database system implementation, review of global work processes.
You may also be involved in:
- Designing, implementing and maintaining dashboards to better visualize the data and guide action.
- Supporting various teams with analysis of data to enable data-driven decisions.
Your Profile
With your passion for agriculture, social science, rural development, forestry and conservation, you aim to leverage your knowledge, experience and appetite for technology to generate positive impact in these areas and address the global challenges of our time.

You have an analytical background and thrive on developing reliable tools to facilitate data management, ultimately enabling your colleagues to work more efficiently.

With excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding communication and a helpful, supportive attitude, you naturally animate sessions with a variety of stakeholders to work on diverse and sometimes complex projects.

Required for the role:
- Data engineering and database management experience
- Advanced Excel skills (including VBA)
- Experience with Python, SQL or other programming languages
Good to have for the role: Tableau skills and experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS
Workings Conditions
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Management / Data Engineering or other relevant field Experience: Minimum 5 years
Employment: Full-time, 1 year contract
Start Date: ASAP
