Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a System Designer (f/m) to join our Communication & Sensing System Department based in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a team developing Video and Surveillance systems such as Enhanced Vision System, Anti-Collision, Terrain Awareness and Weather Radar. As part of the Surveillance & Vision group, you will be involved in research, development & support activities aiming at supporting all Airbus programs while preparing for the future. In this position you will work on projects that mix supplier management, aircraft installation activities, laboratory and flight tests follow-up, operational evaluation with pilots and involve many stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Answer program objectives for both aircraft developments and aircraft deliveries.
  • Support customer services.
  • Support future Airbus strategy as a key contributor to autonomous operation in the frame of single pilot operations.

Qualifications

  • Aeronautical/systems/avionics engineering background (or equivalent) and significant experience in the aeronautic industry.
  • Technical expertise:
    • Systems software / hardware specification and development
    • Knowledge on vision sensors or surveillance systems
  • A collaborative, innovation‑oriented and business‑driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion & influencing skills, decision‑making ability, and a pro‑active approach to problem‑solving.
  • The ability to speak & work in English is required.
