Surveillance & Vision System Designer M/F

Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a System Designer (f/m) to join the Communication & Sensing System Department based in Toulouse, France.

The role focuses on developing video and surveillance systems such as Enhanced Vision System, Anti-Collision, Terrain Awareness and Weather Radar. You will be part of the Surveillance & Vision group and involved in research, development, and support activities supporting all Airbus programs and preparing for the future.

Responsibilities

• Answer Program objectives for both Aircraft development and delivery.
• Support Customer services.
• Support Future Airbus Strategy, contributing to autonomous operation as part of single pilot operations.
• Work on projects that mix supplier management, aircraft installation, laboratory and flight test follow‑up, and operational evaluation with pilots, involving a large number of stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in aeronautical, systems or avionics (or equivalent) and significant experience in the aeronautic industry.
• Experience in systems software/hardware specification and development.
• Knowledge of vision sensors or surveillance systems.
• A collaborative, innovation‑oriented and business‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication, persuasion and influencing skills, decision‑making ability, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• English language proficiency required.
