SD SURF Installation Manager – Overview
We are recruiting an experienced SD SURF Installation Manager to support the GranMorgu Project (Block58) in Suriname, one of TotalEnergies’ major offshore developments. The role is embedded within the SURF package team and is responsible for managing all SURF installation activities, supporting the Package Manager, and ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution during installation, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning phases.
Location & Mobility
Paris area until the end of 2026. Subsequent residence in Suriname or France with frequent offshore missions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all SURF installation activities within the project scope.
- Ensure exemplary behavior and full compliance with H3SE, Company Ethics, and Code of Conduct.
- Ensure HSE & Quality requirements are addressed in all SURF technical documentation.
- Develop, validate, and maintain the SURF Installation Plan, installation schedule, and installation principles.
- Identify interfaces and COMOP risks (especially with Drilling) and propose mitigation measures.
- Review, validate, and challenge contractor installation engineering documentation.
- Supervise installation, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning activities across multiple installation vessels.
- Ensure QA/QC and H3SE compliance during offshore installation activities.
- Coordinate SURF Company Representatives on board installation vessels.
- Interface with other packages (FPSO, SPS, Drilling, URS) to manage installation‑related interfaces.
- Monitor contractor progress, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions.
- Provide regular reporting to the SURF Manager.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to project close‑out activities.
Context & Environment
Large offshore development in deep and shallow waters offshore Suriname with highly complex interfaces with FPSO, SPS, drilling, and offshore installation activities. Strong focus on H3SE, cost optimisation, schedule adherence, and technical excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore oil & gas projects.
- Strong experience in SURF engineering, construction, installation, and commissioning.
- Proven experience with subsea installation activities and installation vessels.
- Previous SURF contractor experience is a strong asset.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and technical decision‑making skills.
- BOSIET & HUET mandatory.
- Fluent in English.
