Supply Chain Planning Operations Research Consultant

Job Description:

• We are looking for a technically deep Algorithm Consultant (Operations Research consultant-ORS). In this role, you will work closely with business consultants, SA, software experts, and project managers to deliver service projects using the company’s products (QUINTIQ etc.).
• Requirement Analysis & Solution Design: Working with ORA (Operations Research Architect), participate in analyzing business requirements and configure and design optimizer technical/algorithmic solutions.
• Algorithm Development: Leverage the QUINTIQ product platform to conduct secondary development of algorithmic functionalities, ensuring alignment with the business needs of different industry clients.
• Testing & Integration: Participate in product testing and system integration activities.
• Troubleshooting for post-go-live system: Diagnose system ORS related issues with business consultants and resolve customer problems.
• Code Quality & Documentation: Ensure high code quality, comprehensive testing, and maintain technical documentation.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 of project delivery experience as ORS role in SCP areas in manufacturing, retail and distribution centric industries (FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Automotive, Hi-Tech, Equipment Manufacturing, Retail, etc.), with major modules such as Demand Planning, S&OP, MPS and APS etc.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Operations Research, Computer science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Understanding of the Supply Chain Planning business area. Knowledge of optimization solver principles, functionality and implementation processes; deep understanding of operations research with solid industry application experience; hands‑on experience with CPLEX or related optimizer etc.
• Development experience in Java or other object‑oriented programming languages.
• Strong passion for technology, quick learner, sense of ownership, and ability to independently complete project requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external project members, good team‑work spirit.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Good reading and writing skills in English; good communication skills in English would be an advantage.
• Those with competitor knowledge of Blue Yonder, SAP APO/IBP, O9, Kinaxis or domestic key related company will be highly preferred.
