Position Overview

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading procurement and supply chain activities across strategic vendors, supporting MARSS’ continued growth.

Working closely with technical experts, project managers, and internal stakeholders, you will drive sourcing strategies, manage supplier performance, and oversee end‑to‑end procurement delivery. This role also plays a key part in shaping and developing the organisation’s supply chain capabilities, ensuring efficiency, resilience, and alignment with project demands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key and strategic vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and delivery capability
  • Oversee procurement activities from requirement definition through to delivery and supplier support
  • Define and optimise procurement strategies across existing and new suppliers
  • Manage vendor qualification processes and onboarding of new suppliers
  • Align with Contracts team to ensure supplier terms are consistent with prime contracts
  • Conduct vendor performance reviews and capture lessons learned
  • Develop and structure supply chain activities across the organisation
  • Act as a key point of contact and mentor for supply chain matters
  • Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities
  • Engage with technical teams to identify suitable suppliers and solutions
  • Support and oversee logistics operations, including shipping, inventory, and planning
  • Lead and develop the supply chain team, including setting objectives and supporting development
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Legal, Projects, and Operations

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in procurement of high‑technology materials and equipment
  • Experience within defence, military, or space industries preferred
  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline (preferred)
  • Experience managing suppliers in complex, project‑based environments
  • Exposure to international supply markets and vendor management
