Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

Position
We are looking for a bright SQA Engineer to join the Quality team. The position: Contribute to, develop, and improve the Supplier Quality Assurance processes of the Group (procedures, ...), to ensure the quality of purchased components, goods, and materials including raw materials and packaging delivered to each plant of the Group.
Responsibilities
- Support and work closely with each plant quality team to develop global and local suppliers; oversee initial validation (PPAP) and implement action plans (8D report evaluation, root‑cause analysis, corrective and preventive action planning).
- Collaborate with the SRM team to develop supplier strategy, integrate new strategic suppliers, participate in selection, and lead initial qualification audits.
- Participate in supplier review meetings with the Purchasing Department and operational teams to manage supplier performance.
- Drive continuous improvement by developing structured quality improvement plans (risk analysis, monitoring plan, awareness sessions, etc.) in collaboration with suppliers.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, surveillance audits of main or troubled suppliers, and traceability audits.
- Manage the quality performance of a commodity autonomously and train/develop the supplier panel to improve their quality system and eliminate recurrent issues.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Quality, Engineering or a similar field (required).
- 5+ years of experience in a supplier quality position.
- Proficiency in quality management concepts, tools, and methods (control plan, part PPAP, supplier audits).
- Attention to detail and commitment to technical excellence.
- Strong organizational skills, self‑directed, and analytical mindset.
- Positive work ethic with excellent communication skills (oral and written) and persuasion abilities.
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in French and English.
