Overview
Position Title: Supervisory IT Specialist (Customer Engagement) located in Paris, France.
Open Period: 05/22/2026 – 06/08/2026 (Full-time 35‑hour week).
Salary: €47,748 per year.
Telework Eligible: No. Travel Required: Not Required. Relocation Expenses Reimbursed: No. Supervisory Position: Yes. Promotion Potential: LE‑9.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and manages the Customer Engagement team, providing leadership for daily operations, team performance, and mid‑to‑long‑term strategic planning.
- Serves as senior SME in area of responsibility, providing expert‑level oversight and technical guidance on service integration, system dependencies, and end‑user impact.
- Advises DT leadership on Mission‑wide Diplomatic Technology (DT) operations, policies, and resource planning, collaborating closely to shape strategic direction, address cross‑functional challenges, and drive operational improvements.
- Leads multiple concurrent high‑visibility and high‑impact DT projects, developing and executing operational plans aligned with evolving policy changes, cybersecurity requirements, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Oversees the administration of IT systems to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability; directs Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support; supervises system analysis and configuration management; manages teams responsible for ongoing maintenance of IT systems.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Applicants must meet either Option 1 or Option 2:
- Option 1 – Minimum 5 years experience overseeing computer networking operations in a complex technical environment, including systems or network administration; at least 1 year of experience leading IT teams and managing projects; Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
- Option 2 – Minimum 7 years experience in the same area with at least 1 year of team leadership; at least two years of college or university studies.
- Public Trust (Low‑Risk/Non‑Sensitive) security certification required; subject to background investigation and pre‑employment medical exam.
- Ability to begin work within 12 weeks of authorization and/or clearances.
- Fluency in French and English (speaking, reading, writing). The language requirement will be tested.
Benefits and Compensation
- Annual salary includes profit‑sharing allowance, vacation allowance, bonus allowance and “Comité d’Entreprise” allowance.
- Meal tickets: €8.25/day; 60% paid by U.S. Government, employee pays €3.30 per ticket. Limited to 202 workdays per year.
