Structure Repair Engineer (F/M)
Overview
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Structure Repair Engineer (f/m) to join our Customer Services team based in Toulouse, France. As part of the Structures Customer Services Team, you will be involved in liaising between operators, design offices, and spare parts organizations aiming at ensuring aircraft structural integrity, timely repair embodiment, and seamless operational continuity.
Responsibilities
- Answer daily repair queries related to design and documentation in liaison with partner design office for all scheduled maintenance activities.
- Liaise with Design Offices to ensure requested repair definitions and justifications are timely available.
- Liaise with the spare parts organization for repair parts availability.
- Initiate updating of structure repair documentation.
- Assist operators on site for structure damage evaluation and/or repair embodiment (experienced staff).
- Ensure information flow to and from operators for repair matters.
- Provide Engineering support to other Customer Services departments and Teams based in Toulouse and other countries (Regional Teams).
- Ensure transfer of in-service experience and maintenance activities to management, other divisions of Customer Services and Airbus design organization including vendors.
- Establish and improve customer relationships by coordinating regular reviews and exchanging information to give visibility of capacities, resources and solutions.
- Act as a primary customer focal point with sufficient experience.
- Exercise coordination and leadership to act as Operational Leader, ensuring escalation and internal coordination of tasks at AIRCRAFT level and proactively improving the role as needed.
- Travel for business as required (generally not more than twice per year).
Qualifications
- Bac+5 degree in aeronautics with +3 years of experience, knowledge in aircraft structures design and stress, general knowledge of composite materials and metallurgy.
- Experience in Customer Services business, preferably in the civil aeronautical field.
- Work experience in an MRO would be a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in Structural Repairs; knowledge of airlines and MRO operations.
- English is mandatory; other languages are a plus.
- High interest/experience in working with extensive and highly integrated electronic data processing systems.
- Good presentation skills, both oral and written.
- Customer oriented and a team player.
- Ability to cope with a highly demanding environment and adapt to specific demands.
