The Team

Join Alvarez & Marsal’s Corporate Transformation team in Paris, where you will be part of a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to driving large‑scale strategic transformations. Our team specializes in helping clients succeed in complex transformations, from strategy development to operational implementation and delivering measurable results.

As a Strategy Transformation Consultant, you will work on diverse assignments across various industries, including retail, banking, food, and more. You will have the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects such as transforming retail procurement with data, modernizing supply chains, and coaching sales and marketing teams to improve performance.

How You Will Contribute

As a Strategy Transformation Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting large‑scale transformation projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Research and Analysis : Structuring and conducting essential strategic research and market analysis to support client projects.
  • Operational Transformation : Assisting in the implementation of operational improvements and driving measurable results for clients.
  • Client Engagement : Supporting senior management in preparing client pitches and presentations, contributing to impactful client interactions.
  • Commercial Activity : Assisting in managing intelligence on forthcoming deals and preparing “points of view” documents on potential targets.
  • Cross‑Border Collaboration : Working on projects across Europe, including the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, and more, gaining exposure to international transformation initiatives.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, gain hands‑on experience, and develop a deep understanding of strategic and operational transformation.

Qualifications

We are looking for ambitious and talented individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Currently studying at a leading “Grande École” in Business and/or Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of previous internship experience.
  • Strong Excel skills, including a solid understanding of accounting/finance and the ability to distill large amounts of data into a simple format (e.g., pivot tables).
  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Fluent business‑level English and French are mandatory. Additional European language skills, such as Dutch, German, Italian, or Spanish, are highly desirable.
