Summary & Purpose of the Position
To support New Products & Franchise Leadership in Neurosciences across the therapeutic area and franchise strategy evolution, internal pipeline commercial planning, and commercial evaluations of new global business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Pipeline: Early Commercial Planning
- Lead early commercial planning for IPN10200 including indication prioritization, portfolio strategy, lifecycle management planning, and business case development.
- Facilitate analyses to support commercialization and continued development of new products.
- Support cross‑functional and country teams in pre‑launch activities, transitioning to a global brand team as assets mature.
- Deliver brand strategy and launch plan, launch readiness review, campaign and core messaging, global launch sequence, and lifecycle indication prioritization.
- Provide commercial leadership for Dysport lifecycle strategy, including long‑term indication assessment, market evolution analysis, competitive scenario planning, and identification of growth opportunities.
- Ensure alignment with the long‑term Neuroscience Therapeutic Area strategy, embedding commercial insights across planning stages.
- Lead global strategic commercial inputs into forecasting and Long‑Range Planning (LRP) with evidence‑based assumptions.
- Strategy & Innovation
- Collaborate with the Neuroscience Therapeutic Area Lead and cross‑functional partners to drive the strategic planning process across the franchise.
- Conduct landscape assessments, analogue and competitor benchmarking, patient journey segmentation, and market evolution analyses.
- Develop insight‑driven strategic narratives and materials for governance and strategic decision‑making.
- Ensure early commercial insights are incorporated into asset development and lifecycle planning.
- Integrate insights into the long‑term therapeutic area strategy to guide portfolio prioritization and planning.
- Business Development: Commercial Evaluation (as needed)
- Serve as commercial lead for neuroscience therapeutics in business development evaluations.
- Conduct focused commercial assessments—market sizing, competitive landscape, treatment dynamics, and value drivers—to inform screening and due‑diligence.
- Synthesize insights and provide clear recommendations to governance bodies.
- Maintain efficiency and alignment with internal strategy in BD support activities.
- Collaborate with R&D and other global asset teams for seamless execution.
Essential Knowledge & Experience
- Significant experience in early commercial roles within pharma/biopharma or strategy consulting for life sciences.
- Experience in early commercial planning, launch planning, and disease area strategy.
- Track record of working cross‑functionally in a matrix organization to meet deliverables.
- Strong scientific and commercial understanding of business development and launch activities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic thinking skills.
- Sense of urgency and ability to deliver parallel workstreams efficiently.
- Deep marketing expertise—positioning, targeting, segmentation, lifecycle management.
- Business acumen and understanding of global markets.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and market research skills.
- Project management skills and business case modelling expertise (Excel & PowerPoint).
Education / Certifications (Essential)
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences or related discipline, or an MBA.
Languages (Essential)
- Fluency in spoken and written English; knowledge of additional languages such as French is helpful.
