Strategic Sourcing Manager M/F/X
Fully funded permanent, full‑time role based in Villers‑Cotterets, France. Key responsibilities include executing strategic and operational sourcing activities for assigned direct‑material categories within the EMEA region.
Reporting to the EMEA Strategic Sourcing Leader, this senior individual contributor drives cost competitiveness, supplier performance, and supply continuity while collaborating closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
Key Responsibilities For This Role
1. Category & Strategic Sourcing
- Own assigned direct‑material categories for EMEA manufacturing sites.
- Execute category strategies aligned with regional and global sourcing objectives.
- Lead RFQs, supplier evaluations, cost modeling and negotiations.
- Support sourcing decisions for localisation, dual‑sourcing and footprint optimisation.
2. Supplier Management
- Manage supplier relationships and performance for assigned categories.
- Conduct regular supplier reviews and drive corrective action plans.
- Support supplier industrialisation, capacity planning and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with Quality and Engineering on supplier qualification and audits.
3. Manufacturing & Cross‑functional Support
- Partner with plant operations to ensure supply continuity and cost stability.
- Support new product introductions, resourcing activities and design changes.
- Act as escalation point for sourcing‑related supply or cost issues.
4. Cost, Analytic & Market Intelligence
- Drive cost‑reduction initiatives (CE/VE, should‑cost, negotiations, productivity).
- Track savings, PPV and budget adherence.
- Monitor commodity trends, supply market dynamics and geopolitical risks impacting EMEA.
5. Governance & Compliance
- Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
- Manage contracts, pricing agreements and ERP data accuracy.
- Support regional and global sourcing initiatives as required.
Skills Requirements For This Role
- Master’s degree in Procurement or Purchasing with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a similar position within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong exposure to direct materials (plastic, machine parts) and industrial supply chains.
- Proven track record in supplier development, risk mitigation and productivity delivery.
- Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP).
- Fluent in English and French.
- Solid financial and cost‑analysis capabilities.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to travel within the region as required.
- Structured, analytical and results‑driven mindset.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices is a plus.
