Description Of Domain/Function

The Network Domain organization covers five technical domains: Radio Access Networks, Fixed Access, Transport & IP, Core & Control, Managed Services and Passive Infrastructure. Our sourcing projects focus on optimizing economic efficiency, technical effectiveness and sustainability using a digital toolset.

The FTI (Fixed, Transport & IP) category spans the full network chain from end‑user access to core infrastructure. It includes Fixed Access technologies that deliver high‑performance connectivity to homes and businesses, Transport solutions such as microwave and WDM systems that provide scalable, high‑capacity backbones for long‑distance data transmission, and IP equipment like routers and switches that ensure intelligent traffic management across the network.

Your Responsibilities

As a Strategic Sourcer in the FTI team you will lead high‑complexity procurement projects at corporate and local levels and manage relationships with key suppliers. You will implement the global category strategy and define/execute project strategies. You are also responsible for target achievement and will provide continuous support to countries on signed deals throughout the contract duration.

• Analyze and manage the countries’ demands using the Demand Plan Tool
• Lead demand‑based RFPs and RFQs from requirements definition to final negotiation and contract signature
• Define and execute cost‑optimization levers and realization plans, including identification of demand bundling opportunities, supplier‑dependency risk and governmental regulations per country
• Support risk analysis for potential market vendor consolidation (e.g., M&A) and global market crises (e.g., memory crisis) to secure business continuity and risk mitigation from the procurement side
• Support countries during implementation phases
• Perform active contract controlling and manage change requests for contracts in place

Your Profile

You hold a university degree or an MBA in Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, Business Information Technology, or a qualification of the same level.

You Also Possess The Following Skills And Experience

• Professional procurement experience of 5+ years minimum
• Very good knowledge of telecommunication or network technologies
• Experience managing customers, stakeholders and suppliers autonomously
• Strategic mindset
• Strong negotiation skills
• Very good knowledge of contract law
• High ability to structure internal and external communication
• Capacity to work in a multi‑cultural, fast‑changing environment
• Fluency in English and French; German is a plus
• Willingness to travel
